Backup Huawei P30 Pro
Backup all your important data before flashing the Huawei P30 Pro Stock Firmware because installing firmware will erase all your data:
- GO to the Backup app on your home screen.
- Tab on Backup & Choose the location to which you want to back up your data
- Choose the data you want to backup. depending on your needs (Contacts, Messaging, Call log, images.videos…)
- Then touch Back up to begin the backup.
- set a password, you can Skip if you don’t want to set a password
- After this is complete, tab Next to begin the backup.
Restore Huawei P30 Pro
- Go back to the Backup app, & tab on Restore
- Choose the source of the data to be restored, and touch Next
- Enter your password you set up early then touch OK
- Select the data you want to restored and touch Start restoration.
- Once you choose to restore your back up data
- You can choose a location to restore backed up data (Contacts, Messaging, Call log, images.videos…)
- Finally, tab on OK to finish.

I am in a similar situation where I want to access the Huawei Themes app (Unfortunately no replacement app available as far as I know), but this app, although a preinstalled app on original huawei firmware, cant be open on a docomo set (I can install it, but the app does not appear on home screen and the “open” button is grayed out on the app list in the preferences). I woke up to my Honor 10 Lite in eRecover mode this morning. Connected to power but not charging and battery showing 0%. Managed to sort-of start up with Wifi connection but no mobile connection and little functionality. After choosing update option in eRecover I reconnected to wife and tried to download, only to get message “get package info failed”. When I connect with USB to my laptop, booting doesn’t get beyond the welcome screen with “HONOR”. HiSuite doesnt see the phone as connected and HiSuite’s system recover option doesnt work either. Should I try a factory reset in eRecover? (btw eRecover does not come on when connected to laptop, only when connected to mains power) Thanks for any advice
try to open the device and unplug the battery & plug it again
Many thanks Youssef. An update before I try that: now the phone has sort-of-booted: it is connected to wifi and the apps I have tried work. But it won’t connect to the mobile network and the battery is not charging and is stuck at 0%. The charging cable is connected to the mains electricty. I am pretty sure if I disconnect from the mains electricity and connect to a PC (in an attempt to use HiSuite, or download an update, etc) it will revert to being stuck in an eReovery dead end.

Hi. I know this is an old post, hopefully you still monitor it. Thank you for all the great info. I’m in Canada and have a P30 pro VOG-L04 9.1.0.156D C819E3R1P5 in demo mode and want to downgrade my firmware. I can’t find any stock rom with my country code C819 and I cannot use Hisuite anymore to downgrade as it doesn’t support it. Is there a stock rom that I can force a downgrade with that doesn’t have a country code locked to it?
